Don't Tell Me That I'm Over Fucking Reacting

Last night I was cooking in my kitchen when out of absolutely nowhere my whole right side went completely numb with the same feeling you get when your foot falls asleep. It really freaked me out because mind you I am six months pregnant now. So I told DC what was going on and he told me that it was probaly just a nerve. I wanted to know for sure. I called the clinic and was unable to get a hold of my doctor or his nurse. Then I tryed to cal Maryanne because I respect her opinion and would trust what she would have to say, plus her husband is my doctor. They were not home. I called the clinic again and talked to a nurse who proceded to tell me that she didn't know what to say and that she would call me back. About 10 minutes later Dr. Greves calls and asks me a ton of questions about symptoms, problem is, I have had all of these symptoms just not at the time that the numbness came on. He tells me that he is at a loss and that if there are any changes I should just come in. First thing I am told after I get off the phone is that I am paranoid. My house is full of people and they are all looking at me as if I am just trying to get attention. At this point I am pissed. I don't know what is happening with my body and no one but me seems to care. So I sit quietly and ignore everyone around me and I guess if I end up in the emergency room they may take me seriously then. Fortunately, I didn't end up in the emergency room but I do have to go in today and find out what is going on because I can hardly lift my own arm and leg and it is painful. Now DC is taking me seriously. Moral of this story, if a pregnant woman is concerned about something that is happening to her body do not fucking undermind her because 95% of the time if she is worried there are plenty of reasonable reasons why she is. Fair warning to Kevin and any other man who is expecting a little one.

Dr. Greeves was mine too! Exactly why I said it might be a nerve but you should definately get it checked out cuz those symtpons could mean something minor to something horrible and when you have a baby you don't want to wait and see. So I'm proud of you going to the doctor and maybe this will make people shut up for a while. And hopefully you feel better soon!
